||Art/activism exhibition based on the idea of Potentia - like Utopia, but rooted in the here and now; it is possible to imagine the steps that would take us from the present to a Potentia. Featuring new commissions by Roger Bygott, Clare Bonetree, Sandra Bouguerch, Annie Harrison, Jane Lawson, Monty, Lea Torp Nielsen and Claire Tindale alongside work by Ellie Harrison, Tim Etchells and John Newling.
There will be flags, chocolate houses, Stonehenge made of filtertips, pinkness, diagrams, reflections, research into a 21st century Eden, 20 hypothetical cities, a plan to fundraise with a giant wind turbine, a reading room, The Dispossessed and, on preview night, the official project cocktail: Consensus on the Beach.
Starts with (Saturday 10th September 11am) Morning Service led by Annie Harrison - the creation of a temporary community in Bloc Projects.
Imagine the Possibilities with Jane Lawson (2pm) Short talk and tour of the exhibition. Followed by the chance to formulate your own Potentia.
Preview Friday 9th Sept. 6-8pm, then open Wed-Sat 10th-17th, 12-6pm.
