Details Thirty years ago, the Ottawa Charter for Health Promotion generated worldwide interest in a new public health movement. This was based on the promotion of healthy public policies, healthy environments, inclusive public services, community action and individual skills. Thirty years later we better understand how politics and public policy affect health but we are still battling for health equity and well-being through the application of socialist principles People working in Sheffield and the wider region are invited to share their ideas at an event about good practice and innovative ideas.
