On January 28th Bavwidi Mpanzu ('Djoly' to his friends) was arrested for working illegally after languishing for nine years waitng for an asylum decision. He was sent to Doncaster prison to wait for sentencing at Sheffield Crown Court in March or April. A campaign has been launched to defend Djoly, a well-known community activist from the Democratic Republic of Congo. Latest news is that campaign meetings for Djoly are being held every Wednesday.
