Sheffield Modern – Sounds of the Estates after-party

Join Sheffield Modern architecture weekender for a "Lates" party at Foodhall, the DIY volunteer-run community centre/cafe/venue. With DJs Ashley Holmes (Plenty Vibes, NTS) and Winston Hazel (former member of Forgemasters, the first act to be released on Warp Records).

8pm-midnight, ÂŁ7 suggested donation on the door (nobody turned away for lack of funds). Bring your own drinks.

The party follows a talk: Sounds of the Estates, at Site Gallery Project Space at 7pm.
A panel discussion with speakers from Sheffield music community on the role of social housing estates in the local music scene, particularly in the 1990s. Speakers include Winston Hazel and Amy Carter, with moderator Auriel Majumdar.
