Course: Sheffield Activism - Rebellion to Cold War

A course on Sheffield´s long history of people´s activism, run by the WEA (Workers´ Educational Association). Tutor (and activist) Nigel Slack will cover the period 1500-1950 in this series of 2-hour sessions.

NOTE you can choose 3pm or 6pm start time. Fee £87.50, all details on the link below, including downloadable full course information sheet. The course is suitable for beginners or improvers, no pre-reading is required.

"Are We Facing Extinction? What Can We Do About It?"

Mon 21 Jan 2019, 7.30pm, Victoria Methodist Church, Stafford Rd. S2 2SE

An introductory talk outlining what Extinction Rebellion is and why we need to rebel. The basic premise of this talk is to tell the truth and ask us all to act accordingly and consistently with the information, including our understanding of what actually enables change to happen in the world. Please also invite friends and family not currently involved in extinction rebellion to attend.
